Which manufacturer and why?? Help
I am in the process of narrowing my choice of Manufacturers. I have narrowed it down to B&B, Antique & Collectible, FFR and ERA. I know the people here own B&B's but what drove you to choose B&B over these others?
Thank you in advance. Billy |
I purchased the B and B for several reasons.
First of all, I was not hung up on the "gotta have a round 4" tube chassis syndrome" that so many have. I could care less what shape my chassis tubes are. They were pretty close to home. Their delivery time was excellent. Even delivered one week ahead of schedule. No backordered stuff. Their 5.0 kit comes complete. No junkyard crawls trying to get the right mustang to salvage used junk(yep thats where the junk in junkyard comes from) parts for your new car. The body comes out of the mold looking great. No fiberglass work to do like grinding out seams and doing all the stuff the manufacturer should do right in the first place. The additional leg room with the dropped floor is so nice. Even plenty of room for Bryan down there at B and B to fit. Great folks to work with. With all that said, I have just finished my first B and B and it is for sale. Wont go into the details here but I can tell you that I will sell this baby to you for just a bit more than you will have in parts and the kit cost. If you would like to see pics or want details, email me at gtroxell@kc.rr.com. |
BABRAMS,
How many threads did you start on this subject???????? |

This thread could turn into a long one.
For me, I'd get another Classic Roadsters, now that CRII is under the ownership of Don Scott. It really is the "Caddilac" of Cobras. That being said, whichever kit you get, there is a lot of pre-assembly work the manufacturer can do for you to make your job easier. All glass work done, fuel and brake lines installed, etc. Up to a full roller and all you need is the engine and trans. It all depends on how much time you want to spend building (and parts shopping), and how soon you want to begin driving. These kits, in their basic configuration can easily eat several years worth of "spare" time, and summer vacations. |
