Wake Up Call

SO I drive my cobra to a Xmas party lastnight, a good 25miles each way, I return home via the freeway, doing 75+

I get off at my exit, sitting in the turn lane, light turns green I go and as I turn the passager side lower ball joint seperates....

No damage other than my pride tho....

So in closing check those nuts and cotter pins =)

Ball Joint

Hey Wes! have you taken a good look at the balljoint? What seem to be the cause ?

wesjr 12-19-2004 12:56 PM

the threads were stripped pretty bad, I assume it was viberation that caused it to loosen, I spent friday going thru all the nuts/bolts...

I found 1 or 2 more nuts that had came loose, replaced em w/ aircraft nuts.

I pick up a new ball joint for $49, got it same day so was not too bad.
