coilover springs

Does anyone know the correct spring rate and length for the front and rear coilovers on a small block B&B?The car I bought has 450lb springs on the rear and unknown on the front. I believe they are B&B's standard shock, red in color. The car handles fine but rides very rough and will move around a bit on a rough road.

Are your shock rebound rates adjustable? If so try lowering the setting and see if that helps. I run my QA1s at 3 to 4 on the street and they work well. Anything above that and it gets rough.

Don't know I quess I will have to pull one out and check it.

Unless you have a different type adjustment, there should be a small knob on the bottom of the shock that you can turn and it clicks with each setting. Mine has 12 settings.

450# springs on the rear is really too heavy. I have 240 in the rear,( thinking of going to 280) and 350 in the front with a big block. You probably will not be able to adjust your shocks for a beter ride with your heavy springs. Let's hear some spring rates from some of you other guys.
