I am going to order a set of Team III wheels, 8" front and 10" rear. Can anyone recommend the right tire sizes that will fill up the wheel wells without interferring with the suspension?

Just to clarify, that is 15" wheels with widths of 8" front, 10" rear. That is 1" wider than B&B use on their finished kits which is not much of a difference is it? To answer your question...why not?

No problem you can go any way you want, I'm just curious what your thoughts are. My thoughts are that it's just the wider the rim, the more problems you might have with clearance. Rim widths of 7" on the front and 8" on the rear with a 15" wheel diameter gives you a wide range of tire sizes and tire manufacturers with little and probably no interference problems. You and also then go with the 4.5" back side setting, which I think is what B&B uses with their rims.

On the rears you can use 295-50-15 will give you a tire diameter of 26.7" on a 8" rim and there are lots of tires available from different manufacturers. With a 10" rim, you can still use this tire and it's at the upper limit of width and I think you'll loose about 1/2" of diameter, but that probably can be made up if you need it by your coil overs. You'll need to increase your back side setting to keep the edge of the tire inside your fender if it's important to you.

On the fronts, 235-60-15 will give you 26.1" diameter with a 7" rim. A wider rim won't affect diameter much here but if you have the Muststang 5.0 frontend, I would dig deeper to find out if the tires will rub. I think they might if the back side setting is increased for the wider rim. I believe that B&B's optional tubular front end will clear, but call Brian or Barry and they can let you know for sure.

Let me know what you decide as I went through this debate myself recently. I went with the 7" width rim up front and the 8" in the rears. I'm just curious what you decide to do.

Thanks for your response, very informative. I do have the tubular front and rear set up with coil overs and Bryan said the 8" and 10" wheels will work fine. As you mentioned I do have to adjust the back spacing and I need to find out what tire size will give me the best look without rubbing. I would like to get the bigger tires for handling and looks. It sounds like the 235-60-15s will be on the front, as for the back I was wondering if 60 series tires would work or not. Does anyone have this set up so I can confirm compatiblity?

Watch your width and back spacing or the tires will hang out of the wheelwells. 295/50/15 on the rear will work fine on the rear. Do you have a narrowed rear? If not you might want to go that route. Good luck.

As the horse power goes up the need for bigger tires goes with it. I'm running the BIG letter Goodyears, 8 front, 10 rear. There pretty sticky but I STILL have a traction problem. It's true that a LOT of replicas out there really limit you on BIG rubber.
