Rear Sway Bar

I read all the post on rear sway bars and did not find very much. Based on what I read either no sway bar or a light duty is required. Developed this design with full adjustment so it can be used on road course, drag track or street. I wanted to be able to preload the rear axle for the few times it goes to the drag strip.

Installation is pretty simple but need to watch clearances. Used 3/4" 4140 chromemolly bar stock. Arms were forged 4140 from McMaster Carr. Local machine shop keyed, drilled and threaded the arms. Linkage to axle are home made heim ends and fully adjustable for loading. Make sure you use cone nuts so you get full range of the heim ball end. Only modification was to cut down the top boss on the B&B 9" rear axle.

wow nice job ! what kind of front bar did you use? They really look like they were suposed to be there. I can't wait till your car hits the road so you can report the results on your work.
