Rear coil-over shock installation

The rear coil-over shock top mounting bracket supplied by B&B can be installed 2 ways. the tab to the rear and the bolt in the front (large hole), which looks correct or the tab in the front and the bolt in the rear (small hole) which does not look right but would keep the shock farther away from the rearend (requiring a shorter spacer at the bottom). How have you installed this mounting bracket?

Thanks,
Corey Crawley

the small hole closer to the front of the car. look through inflecher's web site he has a pic in the roll bar mounting section (i think). THAT is the way i did it also. I used the supplied bolt and did not weld it in. good luck

I installed mine using the rear hole. I tried using the front hole first but the spring rubbed the rear axle in this position. Moving the top to the rear hole eliminated any rubbing for me.

I completely remanufactured mine, top and bottom so I could use the bearing type mounts. Saying that I did keep my orientation toward the forward most hole. My cars handles great with 600 # front springs and 450# rear springs and adjustable QA-1 shocks.
