body alignment

Can you trust the fit of the body from the factory is it lined up?

Several people have said to get the wheels and tires on first and take LOTS of measurements before screwing the body down. You might even have to shim the body to get the same vertical clearance on the tires.

Getting the body on straight is pretty critical and mine from the factory was offset almost 1". There are a number of other B&B posts on the subject. I aligned the body fender lips to the tires left/right and front/back. The mounting screws under the door impact how the door gaps fit. You can push and pull the body almost a 1/2" to get the doors to align.
If you are triming your trunk, and hood be careful to center the hood scoop and license light BEFORE you do any triming. Otherwise if you cut to much from one side they will be offset.
Good Luck.

DO NOT USE THE ORIGINAL HOLES!!!!! measure of the wheels like duke said. hood scoop is made off center according to B&B. shim for height and center (front and back ) fit doors before final installation.Take your time to avoid lots of body work and a tilted off center car.you also will get max tire size with no rubbing.

That sucks they should install it on the frame correct for delivery or tell you they did not. Lucky I did not fiberglass my inner panels I had my doors fit now I dont know. I guess I need to find a center line and ck it out this sucks! Thanks but this is why this is a great place to have to go but its all in the game.
