Tach, Fuel Filler Pipe and Roll Bar
1. Does anyone have a like new tachometer from the supplied Faria set that they don't plan on using? It seems like mine doesn't want to work properly.
2. What did everyone use to complete the fuel neck? I have the supplied metal pipe that screws onto the tank and the piece of rupper hose but nothing to connect this to the body. What goes under the lemans cap? 3. It seems like there are 2 possibilities for roll bar hight. Did you mount the bars that weld to chassis with the predrilled holes up high or did you turn them around bringing the bolt holes down lower? I am short, so both would work from a safety point of view, just want to get the proper look. Thanks for your help, Corey C |
They supplied a top part to the fuel filler tube that bolts to the body. Many have gone with a different setup that has the cap and the tube as one piece.

I had a custom tank built so in my case I just have a hose that extends from the cap to the tank inlet. I'm not sure what type of lemans cap you have as there are a couple of different styles. The quick fill type is all one piece with the neck that extends thru the body. The other types either used twist on filler or an open filler, either of which fit inside the lemans cap. In any case, there should be a bent tube that gets cut to fit in the middle and then the rubber hose connects on either side to the filler neck and the tank completing the installation.
I installed my roll bars as high as possible due to my height. Even installing them so the holes where as high as possible, they could have still been a little taller yet. Mike |
Brian,
I have a tach I could let you have for cheap if you like. Email me at clharlan@dcpmidstream.com Clois Harlan |
Thanks for your replys and advice. I will have to look around again for the body to fuel neck part or order another one from B&B.

gas cap
If you mount the male part from the inside of the trunk and screw it in to the filler it works just fine, no drilling required.
