As Promised Photos of the B&B HCS Coupe

This is a shot of the #3 body about to come out of the mold. Notice the care that has been taken with the hand laid fiberglass?,

The Body from the front

This is a nose shot. Notice how well the body looks and how easy it will be for your painter to finish the HCS Coupe body. You could stand on the nose without any harm to it whatsoever. Not the lightest but definetly the best built.

Inside the door is a shot seldom seen but I did this to show the steel reinforcement on the hinges and door latches. Nothing is going to droop here!http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...977_Small_.JPG

Another side shot to illustrate how perfect the hand laid fiberglass turned out. Strength and beauty.

This shot of the dash is looking through the trunk and the dash will soon be adorning the very top of the line "signature" gauges on the market. Of course there will be an air conditioning option just in case you want to do some summer time cruise in comfort.

I know the picture turned out dark but I forgot to turn on my flash but you can see how perfect the body has turned out. This speaks volumes for the care and attention that Bryan Anderson has taken with the preparation of the molds for the hand laid fiberglass. The whole car will be coming home with me in about three weeks and we plan on having it at Carlisle if at all possible. By the way we will be pushing it around the track on some Vintage knock off 17" wheels and powered by a healthy 408 stroker prepared by both Keith Craft and Stanley Morton. Dyno results soon.

More pictures of the frame, body, and soon the engine in my gallery.

Man, that looks GOOD, Clois! :)

dlampe 03-09-2009 07:56 PM

That really looks nice! I can't believe that is fresh out of the molds. You are going to have one very nice car when you get it finished up!

Bryan has taken a huge step to elevate the status of the B&B kits. He has already implemented some of the refinements of the Coupe on his B&B Cobra and 34 roadster. For those of you that are interested....he is working on the jig right now for the new IRS Version which I think will challenge any manufacturer producing Cobras, Coupes, or roadsters. Soon all these revisions will be on his web site but for now one thing at a time.

B&B HCS Coupe from the side with pipes attached (not quite finished yet but getting ever closer).http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ot101_0234.jpg

This shows the approximate sidepipe location and a little different side shot.

It looks great. i'm sure you would like to have it home already, but it appears that it will be worth a few extra weeks to have the HCS roll out as strong as possible. I know Bryan is committed to making this a quality product!

Inside the door with the electric opener

Here are a couple shots of the "liberty" we are taking with the doors. This shot shows the electric door opener we are going to be using with the HCS Coupe. Of course it will have a manual opener as well but if you wanted to leave your windows in and lock your doors you could. Plus it is kinda cool to push a button and have your door pop open. You can also see the reinforcement used behind the latch and hinge area's.

Clois;
From your hood pics, it looks like the 'power dome' is pretty good size. What engine/intake is it sized to take? Is that a mod for your car or is that the stock B&B hood?
Looks like you wouldn't have a problem with a 351W and a carb intake with a decent air filter on it.
Thanks,

Clois Harlan 03-20-2009 06:21 AM

The hood is going to be the stock B&B Hood and the engine I will be runnig is a 408 Stroker (351 W/ Eagle Stroker Kit) and a Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake. The hood has been modified slightly to allow for the accomodation of some larger engines and standard air cleaners (427 maybe we didn't actually try it with a slug). My engine has an appointment at the dyno shop next week and then we bring the Coupe home for some final assembly the following weekend. Plans are to have the completed B&B Coupe at Carlisle.

Looking good. Do you offer any easy payment plans. One dollar a month for the rest of my life?
