B and B Suspension Build Questions

I have a few front suspension questions if anyone could help.

1. I have the newer tubular A Arms with Heim Joints on the upper arms. When I installed the upper arms I end up with at least a 1/4" gap between the Heim joint and the mounting tube the arm bolts to. Are you supposed to crank those bolts down to bend the arms in or fill the gap with washers? No extra washers came with the arms.

2. I have what looks like front GM calipers. The rotors are a lot narrower. I read somewhere about spacers behind the pad for some calipers, or is the piston long enough so you don't have to worry about it?

Thanks
Wayne

The assembly guy from B and B finally called. The designer of the arms advised the bolts can be just cranked down to pull the arms in or you can put equal spacers on each side. This is the newer front end that once the alignment is set stays better than the older design.

On the calipers, the pistons have a long enough stroke and spacers are not required.

I wanted to update this issue. In the end they decided to send me new A arms that fit perfect now.

Wayne I am glad you got better A arms. Cranking them down to fit would not have been my first choice. I could not get any pos caster on my car. At least with .75 neg camber and 0 total toe.

Ya, sending them pictures helped prove my point. They were good about it though. Perhaps you might measure your arms, and someones else that doesn't have that problem could measure their's and you could figure out were the problem is. I didn't mention it earlier but my old ones were also about 3/8" to short.
