Awesome! Looked like fun to me!

Richard, how's that new ride doing for you? I hope to get my car on the track sometime in the next few months... IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!!!

Are you making it to Run n Gun this year?

Great pictures

Richard:
The car looks great, I'd love to see some of the video you shot. I noticed your running your scoop in reverse. Give me the info on this move. Does it let more air out from under the hood? Also, what air cleaner are you running? Recent dyno showed a 24 hp loss with my K&N on.

I'm tracking at the Texas event on Friday at Harris Hill in San Marcos and then it's off to Ft. Stockton for the Big Bend Open Road Race.

The new car is really good, very well planted, and the Wilwood brakes do their part well. As far as Run nad Gun, I'm not sure yet. The track doesn't look very enticing, kind of a flat track in the middle of farm country. October is a busy month work wise, and kids' birthdays and stuff. I'll know a little more definitevly in July or so.
As far as the scoop on backwrds, I love it. With that change and the rear deck spoiler, the car has very little lift at speed, and sticks better than anything I have driven. Attached is a lap at Daytona in December. We calculated the top speed on that track at 167mph, on the rev limiter in 5th. The car felt stable, secure and safe. All of those I am sure were just an illusion.
That Big Bend race looks awesome. It does look like the pucker factor is huge though, being on an unprotected stretch of highway. Be sure to shoot some video.

Great video

Richard: The car looks very stable at speed, very nice video. Plan is to video out and back on the BBORR. We're signed up for the T3 division with avg speed goal of 110 and tech or not to exceed speed of 124. Hear they fly and drive the course before the race to try and scare off as many critters as possible. Would hate to hit an armadillo at 100 although I hear it's the buzzards that cause the most problems.

No RNG for me this year, too many personal events already planned for Sept/Oct, so maybe 2011. I'll be in S/Fl on business in May, will prolly stop by and see the BD guys then. Be safe out there, keep the pics and videos coming.

Awesome, give me a heads up a week or three before your SFL trip. I live about 30 mins north of Backdraft. We can organize a dinner or something.
Cheers,
Richard
