There's 2 actually (and a 68). I'm sure you mean the '67 FB. That's a long term build for a customer. It will be a GT500 Tribute / G-Machine. If you want to brush the dust off for me the photos are at: http://www.vintage-motorsports.com/gallery/Sixty7

Great Car!
Congrats!

I got #953 on October 30th. I know exactly how you feel. From the time it left Custom Cars in Florida until it arrived in Yardley, I couldn't work, sleep or eat. So, I drank wine and smoked cigars. And, after two weeks the feeling hasn't left.

I got my PA inspection and registration on Thursday. No more swapping plates and hiding out.

Congratulations and best wishes!

Hi dowright
You are pretty close by. Wanna cruise?

dowright 11-20-2010 07:41 AM

Yes. That would be great.

Now the fun begins.

You can expect to take the next year sorting and correcting all the little bugs trhat WILL crop up. It's part of the joy of ownership.

When you get to your one year anniversary, you will know every nut and bolt on that car intimately!

Then the REAL FUN begins!

And one sentence of advice: After the engine is broken in, 500-1000 miles, and you are dieing to let her loose, find a WIDE stretch of STRAIGHT road with no trees or curbs and point her straight. Then floor it and hold on. Do not experiment in a corner or on a narrow road till you get the hang of the throttle.

We've all been there and done that! And some didn't have happy endings!

How long did the inspection and titling process take? I have heard it can take up to two months. I don't know if I can wait that long. If I start in in the garage one more time, my wife may shoot me.

Thank you or the words of wisdom. I know respect only goes so far and everyone that has one has to test the water. I suspect I will be no different.

BDR879 11-20-2010 11:10 AM

RangerMac,

I am the proud ownder of BDR #879 and am pretty close to getting it sorted and ready to roll. We completed the build in April of this year and it took until the 2nd week of July to get the registration process completed in here in Missouri. Once legal, then the sort out begins. It is frustrating but give it time and like was said before, you'll know every inch of your car when its done.

I still have a couple of issues remaining but am just about complete with my 400-500 mile break in period. Can't wait to "get on it".

CONGRATULATIONS!!

RangerMac - I've helped a few people in PA with the inspection process by giving them the details on what I provided as far as the letter to the state, info on pictures, etc. Sounds like dowright had as easy time getting legal as I did as far as the inspection/plate - hopefully his title process will be just as quick/smooth.

If you're interested, shoot me a PM with your email and I'll send some info your way.

dowright 11-21-2010 01:45 PM

I did it in a day. PM your email and I will send you all the info.

Mine is all black with a tan interior and the wheel centers are black. Really like yours.
