yes it's still available.
I'm looking for a loopy sounding low idol, not sure if this motor is capable of that. will I need a 427 to get that sound?

Any engine can do that with the right cam. Here is a good cam for that:

A good throaty sidepipe design adds to the deepness of the tone.



If the low lopy idle is a key desire, never get the new ford COYOTE engine. I idles like a Toyota Camry !!! AHAHAHAH

That Roush 342 will have a pretty good cam in it to get the lift and duration for that size of stroke. It should sound pretty good.

Like CobraEd said, you can get the "thumper cam" from Comp Cams. I have installed these and they sound great.
