See that that are no more cock ups or I'll have to come over there again and straighten things out. It's been 10 years since I have set foot in the UK and things seem to be going downhill fast without me!

The serfs in my ancestral seat of "Buffaloshire" have stopped sending my annual tributes, the Whisky distillery has shuttered and the Humber dealership has closed.......things don't seem to be going well in my absence.

No more Humbers??! I don't want to live in a world without Humbers! You'll be telling the the Wolseley dealership has closed next.....it's the end of the world I tell you......

JBo 02-20-2011 09:40 AM

Actually..this could be "layered licensing"

The 2011 version, anyone recognize the name ?

2011 AC MkVI

" The Chairman of AC Cars Limited, Alan Lubinsky, commented: “We’ve deliberately kept a low profile in recent months as we worked with the members of the AC family worldwide to breathe new life into our revered brand, and we will be announcing further exciting developments during 2011”, he said. "

As expected, another ugly dash in the MkVI.

But the AC Heritage/Brooklands thing sound like a promising way to actually be able to deliver something that someone would actually like to purchase. I can only assume that Alan will find some way to screw that up royally. Still, since Trevor is on the correct side of the pond for this, I think we should encourage him to do some spying over at the AC Heritage Centre (after he straightens out Lord Muck's title). What do you say Trevor? This is a much easier assignment than the time I asked you to drive over to Malta.

Trevor Legate 02-23-2011 12:19 PM

Dunno, still on my way back from Malta - it's a damn long walk!!

However, the Brooklands Motor Co. association is owned and run by Steve Gray who knows of what he does and also understands (note the word 'understands') the motor business. Therefore, it should be in safe hands. Can't speak for the remainder of the AC empire.....I know about as much as you do! :-)

It stands for "Aw Crap blew up another engine"

If you would have paid attention to my original suggestion, which was to take one of your greyhounds out for a ride in your AC to go to Malta, you would have been home years ago and your dogs would not be missing you so much. ;)

nag, nag, nag......

Don 02-24-2011 09:06 AM

While looking for parts, noticed that Rock Auto has a parts section for the AC, from 1950 to 1973
