Tach problem...Need Help!!!
It just started yesterday while I was driving, the needle just swings wildly from 0 to 7000. No pattern that I can see. At idle it sometimes goes to 0 and sometimes moves.
Tach is a Revolution gauge.
Anyone got any ideas? Thanks

What kind of ignition do you have?
Does you in dash tach act the same way?
Check all your wire contacts.

Check to make sure you have a good solid ground on it.

Does the tach pick up from an electronic ignition box (MSD)? If so check the tap. They usually clip it on with some kind of clamp-on connector that makes a "pin prick" connection through the insulation. It can separate from vibration.
