I just replaced the stock radiator with the BDR aftermarket one. Hope to road test later this week. Temps have been High 90's to 105 levels regularly here, with stopped in traffic engine temps hitting 110-115c. Also installed new fan shroud from Summit Racing. Did notice when I removed the original radiator it needed a good cleaning. Plus after 19,000 miles it was pretty dinged up. Also purchased a piece of SS mesh to put in front to protect the radiator (Pegasus Racing). I'll post when it gets back on the road.

mt,
Put the upgraded radiator and the Zirgo 3000 CFM fan in mine and my temp is now at 90-95 deg C on a 100 deg F day. So I would venture to say it will work. Another thing I did was get my car dyno tuned and the distributor recurved. After we were done, it took about 40 deg F heat out of the engine as I was running on the lean side. Just a thought. |
I'm taking back all the bad stuff I thought about you guy's.. LOL:)
The forum is a great place to kick around ideas & problems.. thanks to all for the input. getting out of the heat off to Alaska. Rich |
