Headlight relay replacement...
FYI...I replaced my faulty headlight relay today...the relay is a VW/Audi OEM application...I purchased a BWD R3018 relay at O'Reilly Auto Parts...direct replacement...my cost was $25.99
The original relay was a Brazilian VW part DNI 0127 Another cross reference part number is 111-941-583 Randy BDR #340 |
Why wouldn't any 40 amp SDST relay work? Less than $10.

I am having issues with my headlights where they blink on and then turn off, but only with the lows. The highs work fine. Mike over at Backdraft told me to replace the relays, so I wonder what symptoms you had that made you change them and did replacing the relays fix it?

INDY: The relay has to be what is called a "Latching relay", SDST it not that type.
