Insurance Companies / Shipping

I have researched both topics, and the responses all appeared to be old.

What insurance companies are most people using?

What is a good transporter?

Thanks for the help guys.

We only use Intercity, Reliable, or Plycar for east 2 west shipping. Insurance through Mike Smith at Northeast Classic or Robin at Midwest.

What do shipments run from CT to Cali?

What is the insurance cost running (on average assuming good driver/credit)

Thanks Jay!

Last quotes I had for Salt Lake City were 1800. That should be similar due to volume.

Insurance is usually agreed value and in the 600 - 900 per year range.

Chad,

I am in California and I have State Farm and pay about $500 a year on my 2005 BDR.

Another vote for Robbin at Midwest. My insurance is less than $350 year and total loss value is agreed upon. That is usually the big difference between the specialty insurance companies and the "big" names. Be sure to do your homework on what the term "value" means to each. I think you'll find that a lot of guy's here on the forum use Midwest.

Robin at Midwest and Intercity.

I used Intercity to ship my Jag from STL to San Jose - they treated her with kit-gloves. I would use Intercity again.

Have used InterCity 3X:

America's Premier Enclosed Auto Transport Company for vintage race cars, collector cars, classic car, show cars, antique car, concours and auction transport: Automobile transportation is our only business - Door to door car transport service from Int

When comparing insurance costs, variables need to be identical, such as agreed value, annual mileage limitations, liability to match/no less than same limits as daily transportation vehicle, usage limitations if any, etc
