bbattery relocation for what reason?

just wondering if anyone knows why backdraft moved the battery location from the center to the side of the trunk over the years?

The battery wanted to be more right wing, it was sick of left or center politics.

Cleans up the trunk, regains lost space, makes storing a top in the trunk much easier, space for audio systems, protects terminals better, it's evolution baby....

I relocated my battery to the center between the roll bars. Made a custom mounting and attached it to roll bar attach bolts. Looks like it is where it should be. If you don't like it where it is its simple to move.

Worse actually. You never want to put weight fwd of the front axle or aft of the rear axle.

But like Jay said, it free up space.....

Kevin....
