BDR header help

So I had to pull the engine to send back to Ford Racing, when I disconnected the headers from the side pipes, I found that the drivers side had no gasket/spacer and the Pass had a 1/4 in spacer and a gasket on each side? Anyone done this before? I figurd it is a fit issue but why no gasket at all? It never leaked fyi. I guess Ill see how it goes back together but I plan on putting a gasket in there.

The spacer was for side pipe alignment. No big deal and commonly used. These cars may look square and true but are far from it

Mad-I hear that on the "square/true" issue-I get the spacer thing but the lack of a gasket has be puzzled a bit.

Simple, they only had two gaskets and used them both on the spacer side.

I have #874 and I am trying to figure out if I have the old or new side pipes.

Any suggestions besides looking up turnouts? It is kinda hard from wheelchair.
