Roush 342 Switch to QuickFuel carburetor Vacuum question
Switching over to a quickfuel carburetor and noticed there is only one large vacuum line input On baseplate versus the two large on the Original carburetor. one I use for brake assist the other for Pcv.
The manual states do not use a Tee connector. Any thoughts Thanks Dennis |
I would try the tee and see what it feels like. The reason they don't want you to tee it is because you could possibly get crankcase vapor into the brake booster...but they make a check valve for that.
You can also put a 1/2" spacer with a nipple in it under the carb. Or if you have an intake manifold that will allow, you can use it for a source. |
What if I just omit the PCV altogether and just put another breather on That valve cover?
seems like a lot of engines are that way. |
Yep, the draft tube was the precursor to the PCV valve.
The PCV is not that bad and may actually help rings seal better. Why don't you see what Roush says? Russell |
