My Summer Vacation

Edit: Apparently I messed up with the google link and lost all the date flags.
Began Trip on August 15, 2012 and arrived home on August 25, 2012 /edit

Picked up my new Backdraft last August, want to thank all the people who helped me decide how to best equip Cobra that will be driven often and nearly year around.

Advice on finalizing BackDraft configuration

Jay at Revolocity Motor Sales and Brian from Vintage Motorsports were great to work with, final install turned out first-class.

A few particulars:

RT3 #1148
Spectra Blue with white stripe
5.0L Coyote
Solid motor mounts
Ceramic coated headers
Tremek TKO 600
Hurst short shifter
3.91 LSD
Upgraded aluminum radiator and fan shroud
Aluminum gas tank
Vinyl soft top
Dual roll bars
Mota-Lita wood wheel
Heated seats
Full 3M Paint Protection
And last but not least – A/C (yea I know)

Speaking about driving, friend and I decided instead of having Cobra shipped we would drive back to California from Vintage Motor sports. For some reason my wife declined to make trip, what is wrong with driving new Cobra across the US? We further decided not to make this an endurance event but to stop at several points of interest as well as visiting friends and relatives along the way.

Total trip 3776 miles
Average MPG 22

Unbelievable reliability! No doubt the coyote is the way to go and you can always add a supercharger. Old pushrod bs is just that bs. Great story thanks for sharing!
