Okay how do you replace the rubber SidePipe hangar grommet?

I removed the two bolts holding the top Arm of the hangar but it does not help in removing the rubber grommet, even with the two bolts out the top Arm does not come off over the Metal ledge?

And is backdraft the only source for this rubber grommet I found this item below but nowhere does it give Its dimensions.

You take a big screwdriver and a pair of channel locks and you pry and twist it off...it's ok to bend that bracket a bit to help...
I have used the grommet that you showed from advance auto parts, a universal donut, for about the same price.
Good Luck and wear gloves.

When I bought my rubber grommets I saved the parts bag (with number) just in case I needed it in the future. Backdraft didn't offer them at the time and I did a lot of searching before I found them. They were an exact fit and that is the manufacturer so I will check when I get home and let you know.

that would be excellent if you could verify the part then I'll use the razor knife ranch for removal :-) , reinstalling the new one should be a lot easier,

I know I put some silicone spray on them to help with sliding.

OK I checked, and the number that I have is 255 - 525, in fact I found an extra one which I must have bought and it is exactly like the one that came off the car. I ordered it at my local parts store. If you can't find it let me know and I'll see if I can order more.

Well get your knife out and start cutting then. When you get it fixed, let me know how you made out .

Spray them with silicon or WD-40, that helps with the slipping on and off. When your done replacing them put a hose clamp around the outside and you will not have to replace them again.
