Removing Dash?

My rear view mirror lost a nut off the screw and now I only have (1) holding it. I can feel it with my fingers under the dash but no way am I going to get a new nut on there with it all put together.

It appears there are (2) bolts in each door jam. Are these holding the BDR dashes in place?

Please, no comedic comments about my struggles with my loan nut.

Try removing some gages or the speedo to get some room to work. I had to do this to tighten a loose wire. My Speedo had a large bezel on the back that unscrewed easily by hand.

Its easy to remove the dash. 2 bolts on each side (above door hinge).

You don't need to remove dash for that. If you cannot get your hand in there directly then the gauge removal suggestion would do it.

I had to remove the dash.

1) Removing the speedo helped but all the wires to the other gauges were blocking my reach

2) There was a ridge of fiber glass that was hard to work around. Even with the dash removed working in there was a tight fit.

New lock nut installed and all put back together.

Thanks all for the help!
