Tie Rod BDR#231
My BDR#231
Hope someone can shed some light on this. Found a couple post on Tie Rod's when searching, but wanted to make sure before I pull the trigger. Here are pictures of my Tie Rod. I need both left and right. Notice the slight bend. http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7kzmkjxu.jpg http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/...psk6cvecyh.jpg From the search some people are saying 1974-1977 Mazda Rx-3. However saw a quote from TimeForACobra from LINK http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/back...-tie-rods.html Quote:
Found the following: ACDelco 45A0251, | ACDelco Rare Parts RP26134, | Rare Parts Not sure if there is any differences from the two, other then company name. Anybody know if these would work or have they tried them? I also saw a post where someone used a Moog Tie Rod but not sure what part number they used. I have pm/email them. Thank you in advance. -Z |

How many miles do you have on your BDR? I've got a little over 40K miles and so far my tie rod ends appear to be hanging in there pretty well. On the other hand, I did have to replace both rear wheel bearings at just under 39K miles--they were shot. I've only been to the racetrack once, the rest of the miles are streets/roads/freeways. Just curious I reckon... |
after all is done I used a firefield laser too align it ( Toe ), Drives great .

Thanks for posting the advance auto part number. |
Anybody have a part number for the curved tie rod ends?
|
I don't think the cured ones are available any more but I replaced mine (curved ones) with the advance auto ones and they worked perfect , aligned it with lasers and drives great .
