turn signal
 
does anyone know if backdraft has a updated turn signal arm/cancel unit.mine has been a problem from day one. built in 2013.

I bought one off eBay for $50. Same POS, but a hell of a lot cheaper. I did have to remove the key (not sure if that's the correct name), dremel out the center to make it fit and cut the old plug off, splice and reuse, but it wasn't too bad. The wires were the same color, and I just used butt connectors. Also was able to rotate the stalk to the left now. I still need to punch the column a bit and reset the screw to keep it from rotating, but i'm lazy. It's here if you are up for it:

The new BDR cars still have crappy units for turn signals. My car is only a little over a year old and the unit is very touchy. The slightest movement of the wheel disengages the turn signal arm. At least they don't stay on AFTER a turn as some other makes of Cobras do, and the driver never knows they are still on. See this all the time with cruises.

I have one that self cancels on a right turn... and doesn't self cancel on a left turn... so between shifts I have to cancel it by hand. It's been that way for about a year... and it's just now reaching a point where I've had enough and am ready to address.

I ride a motorctcle every week and i have to self cancel each time i turn so i guess when i get my backdraft i will feel right at home but i have heard of this turn signal issue many times, you think the factory would fix this problem on an expensive car, i will keep an eye out for it not self cancelling, i dont want some facebooker slamming into the back of my new car.

Awesome i dont have to worry about the turn signal issue on my car, just got back from visiting it lol. With the tilt column the turn signal stalk is on the normal side and it is a nice sturdy metal material and the steering wheel will also have the horn there, very nice. Its so easy to get in and out of, also lets the steering wheel be right where my battered shoulders need to be. Omg it is fing loud!! Nov done date, god please keep the snow and salt away for as long as possible.

Same here - auto cancels about 30% of the time and mine was completed earlier this year.
