Side Curtains

Over the weekend I put the soft top on for the first time. The previous owner never put it on the car but after a little head scratching I got it on. Vintage did the install and I am quite impressed with the fit. I have never liked tops on these cars but this is one of the better looking tops that I have seen and it was way more comfortable on a cool afternoon.

Finally, my questions:

I am struggling with the side curtains a bit. If you guys use them, how do you go about dealing with them? Do you zip the top in, get in the car and velcro the side and bottom once you get in? Or do you zip the top section after you get into the car?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. At this point love the top, not sure if I will be using the curtains.

I keep the passenger side zipped and Velcro all the time unless a passenger is present.
The driver side I unzip 3/4 get in then zip and Velcro bottom and back side. I also have a heater which helps but there is a lot of air leakage that keeps it cool on cold days.
