Wheel Damage by Repair Shop

So, while having my rear end upgraded to a 3.9 posi, the repair place noticed a screw in my rear tire and sent it out to be fixed. The monkee on the tire machine managed to damage the back rim right where it meets the tire, with two small pry bar dents on the lip (18" Backdraft factory wheels). Naturally my repair shop said it was preexisting damage, which is ridiculous.

Anyway, does anyone know if that is a repairable situation or do I need a new wheel for $500?

Thanks.

Not Happy
Bill

Google alloy wheel repair in your area. Sounds like a simple fix for them.

I believe Keystone (if you have one nearby) can send it off, repair it, and have it back in a couple days. Like mentioned, a lot of wheel repair places can do it as well. Just a bump in the road!
