Power steering
Considering it. Maybe. Don't really need it, but thinking about it.
For $1,400, you get the Steering rack for the chassis. Seems like a lot, since I can get a new rack for an M3 for about $300, plus hoses, maybe another $100'ish. What am I missing here? For another $600, you get the Coyote installation kit. Any idea what is included in this kit, and why it's $600? |

I have been wanting to get power steering added to my older BDR also. I think you would also need a pump, pump mount, res, pulleys and belt also. If there was an all in one kit I would have purchased one already. I just dread buying a bunch of miss matched parts and trying to piece it together.
Jay talked about putting a kit together a few years back. I guess I have just been waiting for that to happen so he can take my money - hint hint. |
If you run 8" rims up front and a 14" steering wheel you can change the steering wheel to a 15" and it will feel like power steering.
If you have room to increase the steering wheel I would try it first. Make sure your knuckles don't hit the door with the 15" wheel. Dwight |

I like the KRC pumps, I'v used them before. But that's another $600.
Do I really want to spend $2,600 for power steering? Probably not. Doesn't seem like a good value. I could probably do junkyard electric p/s for a whole lot less. I think I'll skip it. |
