BDR Strut Mount replacement part number
I am in the middle of replacing the front strut cartridge inserts. While removing the strut mount I have found the mount has a little play in the bearing. It doesn't grind and feels smooth but I am wondering if I should replace them.
The mount has the following markings BMW 1090 678. I can't seem to find this part anywhere online. Does anyone know if this is a standard E36 1995ish 325 strut mount? It looks like Backdraft shaved some of the mount off on two sides so it doesn't look perfectly round. FYI the KYB replacement inserts I got from Backdraftparts has part number 36105 stamped on them in case anyone needs that number in the future. |
Make that 361005.

They're pretty cheap and your does cross to the most common PN stocked.
Your full PN is 31 33 1 090 678 Product Line The most common stocked now is 31331092885 I've bought quite a few items from ECS Tuning and have had great response and ship times. https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E36-32...nsion/Shocks/2 |
Thanks! Called local BMW dealer and they want 130 bucks for the genuine BMW part. Looks like on ECS site they have about 5 manufacturers making same part ranging from under 20 bucks to 80s for genuine part. Will either order the factory part, the Sachs or Lemforder replacement. Then I will need to cut off part of mount to fit between shock towers...
I have used ECS in past and they had good service. |
