So I took a quick video of my slave cylinder at work. I'm pretty sure that is not the culprit but take a look and tell me your opinion. I don't think the rod on the slave is even adjustable.

Appears to be working just fine, but make sure the clutch fork is returning all the way back when the pedal is released. Can you push the fork manually back toward the rear of the car with the pedal released. Even an eighth of an inch can cause slippage. It's highly unusual for a clutch to give out in 4000 miles but I guess a spring or two could have failed. Is there any oil seeping from the bell housing? Leaking seals have been known to coat a disc at times though very rarely.
Looks like you're going to have to pull the trans and check the pressure plate next.

My clutch was slipping in the higher gears in my CR, and upgraded to a Kevlar
disc - end of problem for me. I was in the 400 hp and torque range on my 351W
but that was too much for the clutch I had. Your situation sounds similar, a
clutch upgrade looks like the problem solver if you have eliminated other problem
area possibilities.

Are you in denial? Fix the clutch disc!
Frank is a nice SALESMAN...you got your answer here on forum...any name brand disc will do.

Sorry for all the newbie questions, but I'm struggling to find some info. I know we have to use a 26 spline input shaft clutch for a Ford. The problem I'm having is that since we don't have ability to input our make and model and get the exact clutch for our set up, so I have to depend on your experience. Since I'm running a T56 do I have a 10.5" or 11" clutch disk? I know the input shaft diameter is 1-1/8". I'm going to buy the kit with the pressure plat as one. There are options all over the board ranging from 86-01 Mustang GT, 93-98 Cobra, Mach 1s, etc. Not sure what parameters to base my search on Summit Racing or wherever.

Pull it apart FIRST, then you'll have the information to give to the experts (McLeod, RAM) they will advise you what will work in your application. Check your pilot bushing/bearing too. Once in- and done= good nights sleeping. We've all been there.

If you don't want to try and choose the correct setup for your particular engine and trans combo, just call Mike over at Fortes auto parts. He'll know what combo disc and pressure plate will not only fit, but will be able to easily handle your torque and horsepower. He does this all the time for cobras.

Mike is a great source of info and parts but even he'll need more info than Rey has provided here.

Unless your builder did other bad things (like installing a non-adjustable push rod) then you can use DF161830 kit with N1714 throwout bearing.

Thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for.

New clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing installed. All is good. Car is back to normal! Thanks for everyone's help.
