Wrap this one up, should have been easier.

Last time the car conked out, the mechanic found the MSD was wired under the dash.
So, they ran power and ground to the battery.
Since they were newer, I thought they must be fine.

Dummy

Everyone said "Check your grounds"
SO I jumped the MSD ground to the engine block.

I can finally say
"She fired right up"

So relieved. Thanks to everyone that helped me.
I appreciate it.

Ozzie Goat, If you are still having the starting problem, I had the same issue. I solved the issue by re-grounding everything. I purchased new grounding wire (approx. 15 feet) and ground from the battery to the frame, frame to starter and engine.
That solved the problem.

JNP
Thanks for checking in.
What was amusing was I had the ground run by a local speed shop
Instead of being the first thing I checked - it was this last "THAT wire couldn't be bad"
It was

Thanks, I'll check the other grounds again too
