Brake Pedal Pivots Slightly

My brake pedal seems to pivot a bit on the brake arm (it only moves about 3/4' either way until the brake arm stops it). I checked and the mounting bolt seems generally tight. Is that the way it is supposed to be, or do I need to really crank on it and tighten it further?

Thank you.

Normal operation.

That's normal. Your accelerator pivots slightly as you apply pressure as well. If you want it not to pivot you can tighten tighter. You'll notice that the clutch does the same.

The Clutch, Brake, and Throttle pedal assembly definitely does not have what I would call a "precision" fit. There is a lot of slop in mine and as a result, I get a lot of rattling from them over rough road (my foot is always on the throttle, so not from that one).

Does anyone have any solution such as bronze or nylon bushings to tighten these up and eliminate the slop?

Sorry that I don't have a solution, but I don't have the problem, either. All of the pedals on my car are fine.

Bump - Anyone have a solution to clean up the fit on the BDR factory pedal assembly? Mine are really loose and will rattle over rough road. BDR #1553
