Wiper Blades
I have an early BDR that is in need of wiper blades. I know, that sounds ridiculous but I have had to use them recently and noticed the blades are coming apart. Are there any sources for these wiper blades? The arms will not take the standard wiper blade refills since they are a little narrower.
Thanks. |
I have #272, and ended up getting the ones from the BDR Parts website:
https://iconicparts.com/windshield-wiper-blade.html They are Lucas IIRC and worked perfectly. You cant just buy blade refills anymore. |

I don’t think I would notice a difference with new or old wiper blades... the few time I have had to use them, the results were laughable. I now reach up over the windscreen with my arm and just wipe it the best I can.

Just an update with part numbers to this thread.
I think it helpful to share the part numbers rather than "I put a Griffin Radiator in mine" which is as helpful as just saying "I put a piece of metal in mine". My wipers were embossed with "TEX" logo. https://texautomotive.com/ They're stainless and accept a 5.2mm bayonet type shaft. Industry Part number GWB219, or TEX PN B05110 (natural), B05110P (polished), B05110E (black) Came to $34US total for two incl shipping. Construction quality much better than Trico or the ones Moss motors sell. |
My car doesn’t even have wiper blades.
