AM seats - OEM passenger mounts
I have new seats to replace my fiberglass tubs from BDR
The OEM seats have bolts from above, down in to brackets. The Cobra seats require bolts through the bracket from below, up in to the seat frame. The BDR brackets don't seem to support that. No brackets, and the seat mounts practically under the dashboard. Has anyone else had this problem, did you have to fabricate new brackets ? Thanks |
So, if you reverse and flip the passenger brackets you can drive bolts up through the threads and in to the seat base.
The next challenge is the OEM offset holes and supports when mounting a seat that is 'square'. The drivers slider doesn't line up after attaching to the seat. Good times, BDR. The Cobra Roadster SR seats sit higher than the flat fiberglass tubs. I'm 5'9" if you're taller you will sit higher than the windscreen. If you're mass challenged it will also be a tight fit. Some more adapting to do, but overall they're great. |
