I did a search and also posted this question on the General Discussion forum but received no response.

How do you post photos?

When you're posting or replying, there's an icon that looks like a paper clip (see pic below)...hit that and you get a window that says "Manage Attachments".

Click on "choose a file" and select a file from your computer (can select several), and then click "upload".

Note: should point out that each file needs to be bigger than 100KB, even though the "Attachment Key" quotes file sizes at lower than that. I aim for 200 KB to 300KB for each file.

When the file or files have been successfully uploaded (it's not immediate, takes a few seconds), they will show as "Current Attachments"; you can then close that window (where it says "Close this window", at top right hand corner).

Then hit "Preview Post" to check what it looks like, do some further editing if you need to, and hit "Submit Reply"

It's a bit messy, but it should work. There are other ways as well.

Good luck,
Glen

I just tried posting a photo that I previously posted in another (separate) thread. The forum would not allow me to do so. Is this the Law of the Land? If so, is there a way of getting around it? I even tried re-naming the photo on my hard drive and then attaching it but even that didn't work.

Could try copying the file to a different name on your hard drive

Right click on the photo in your first posting that you want to use in your new posting and open it in a new window or tab. Copy the URL of the original photo that you want to use in your new posting from the url address bar in the new window/tab. Click the nsert image icon for the new thread you are creating and paste the url you just copied into the field provided. Click OK to close the window.

Now click your Preview Post button at the bottom of your reply to thread window or your new thread window and you will see the pic when the screen refreshes.

Yes, I removed the heat shields. I never did like that look. Reminded me of truck smoke stacks. I've always felt that the heat shields dis-proportion the pipes relative to the body. Pipes are ceramic coated.

Photos are on my computer, not on a photo sharing website.

That's why you have to right click the photo in your original post and open it in a new window.
