Thanks vintage motorsports
A huge shout out to Vintage Motorsports, Jay & Brian. They are right now finishing up my build #2145 and every step of the way their attention to detail has been nothing but amazing. They are busy with a lot of customers cars and on a back log with new orders but they always take time to respond to my gazillion questions and to reach out to me with suggestions on how my build can look or be better. Some of the little details are style changes that they cannot monetize (eg. last one was small a bracket!), meaning their focus is truly on creating the best build for me! How they make the time to put so much attention into each and every build is incredible! If you were like me a year a half ago and wondering which was to go, PM me. Not only do I get my dream car but I get perfectionists maximizing every detail of the build for me!
If you’re considering a Backdraft Cobra call them! If you already have a Backdraft and want to make changes ship your car to them! I’m spending about $2800 in round trip shipping to have them finish my car and it’s worth every penny. Thanks Guys!
If you’ve had a good experience with Jay & Brain feel free to post something here.

Congrats Thunderbird123!!
I'm jelly and frustrated at the same time. I'm car #2135 and also have (Jay) Vintage Motorsport building my car but come this Saturday it will be 5 months (arrived Nov 2020) waiting for Backdraft to still ship it to Vintage Motorsports . Shipping to Vintage was delayed because its waiting on #2170 to ship at the same time but recently BDR informed me the delay was also because they had to adjust my hardtop which led to paint shop delays. Needless to say both Jay and I are frustrated but Reg (BDR) emailed Vintage this week stating my car was back from paint and both cars (#2135 & #2170) should ship next week. We'll see. Sorry, excuse my rant. Funny enough I still get excited at the prospect of finally getting my cobra from Vintage
Congratulations Thunderbird123 and the your cobra looks awesome!! :D

That's a super tough break I'm having to wait 5 months just to get it to Jay and Brian. I was up at the shop last weekend for a tour. Really well organized and clean. At least you know your car will be with the best outfit in the country for BackDrafts

Vms
It doesn't get any better than to deal with these gentlemen for anything to do with a Backdraft Cobra. Jay is on here regularly and will go out of his way to help anyone even if they didn't purchase a car from him. I suggest to anyone considering a Backdraft to go to the VMS page and look at the photos in their galleries. There is some very impressive custom work there. Also look at their YouTube videos.

There's a reason these guys are the best in the business. I bought #1025 from them used and other than fixing some of the previous owner's hack wiring for the heated seats and heater it's been top notch. Like others have said too, if I have had any questions Jay has never hesitated to help me along the way.

well looks like our cars are going to go up in value. All these good things being said. Guess I will be asking 85k .To sell it I was going to let her go at 75k, but for a California car, that is legal to drive 85k and its yours.Better hurry though cause the price may just be going up, just like the housing market.:)

Lol.... I like your thinking!
These cars really do hold their value. You know what's amazing about it is that here you have an amazing vehicle developed by Backdraft and then an independent Business like VMS takes it to another level! And we as consumers benefit!
*** Sorry about the jumbled previous response. My voice to text it's terrible

Once you get the issues sorted i hope you're able to roll out! I had some minor stuff at the beginning but have been putting 1,000 miles on my car per month since then. Cant get out of these cars, too fun to drive!!

I just got my cobra from Jay a few weeks ago as it was a consignment car. Jay was fantastic and is still very responsive a few weeks later with all of my annoying newbie questions. My only complaint is that they are on the east coast and I’m in California so I can’t have Jay and team service it :-( Jay please open up a SoCal/ San Diego VMS shop! There are so many cobra owners here in San Diego.

Miller Motorsports does a great job as well and he's a left coaster! Contact Allister. He is good with the questions and answers as well. I have been to Vintage and live in Florida so any good option is good to have.
