Back up light
Two questions:
1) I have a 2011 build (#983). Is there a wired connector coming from the Tremec transmission or shifter that is for a back up light connection? If so, where is it located?
2) Recommendations for an aftermarket back up light?

go to Vleds.com and check out their thin strip license plate mounted back-up lights. Awesome. MM

Thanks for the link. Nice looking light that blends with the license plate frame.
Now the only piece of info I need is where do I splice the lights? Is there an existing backup light harness coming off of the tranny/shifter?

My Tremec has a reverse switch on the drivers side of the main case. It has 2 threaded studs coming off it so wiring up to it should be fairly easy.

I'm guessing that switch works as an on/off toggle switch so I will have to find a 12V source somewhere to splice the red lead from the light.
Also, if I elect to go with an LED back up light, will I need a relay as well or is the LED light small enough to where I don't need one?

Found this connector (top left) next to the back-up light switch. It doesn't appear that it attaches to the back-up switch (terminal spacing on the switch doesn't match the holes in the connector). Any ides as to what this connector is for?
My apologies for the poor quality. Lighting was limited.

Looked closer and discovered that the connector I show in the photo is attached to another sensor that is at the top of the transmission case, similar type to the back up sensor. Wonder what that upper sensor is for?
Also, I found an existing wire harness that was installed by BDR when the car was built. This harness provides connectors to tap into for both the backup light and the tranny sensor. All I have to do is purchase a connector to the tranny switch with pig tails. The back up light attaches at the other end. Easy peasy.

Drivers side towards the back is neutral safety switch.

This harness, which is just free and unconnected, is attached to the switch that is at the top, front of the transmission case, driver's side.

Assuming you have a TKO transmission, the back-up lamp / reverse switch is located on the left side of the case 7.23" / 183.67 mm from the transmission front mounting face. The neutral switch is on the left side as well, near the top of the case at the rear - that will be the one with the cable. If you go with an LED back-up lamp it should have such low current draw that you shouldn't need a relay - just feed it 12V on one terminal and connect the other to the positive terminal on your LED.
