Differential Speed Sensor Delete

1 Attachment(s)
I’m pretty close to reinstalling my differential. I’m stripping the cover and repainting the cover black. When I pulled the differential I cracked the speed sensor where it would connect to the wiring harness. I removed it when i started stripping/ prepping the cover for painting. I prefer not to
reinstall the sensor (potential leak point) but it’s not threaded. Does anyone sell a plug or a cover to seal the hole in the differential? I could buy a new sensor but I wanted to see if there were other options before I buy a new sensor. I appreciate the help.

Thanks, Mike

Since you just need a plug, repair the sensor with some 2 ton epoxy and put it back in.

It’s not repairable but I may be able to cut / grind down the connector so it’s flush with the flange. If that works I’ll fill in the connector with silicone and paint.

If that doesn’t work I’ll order a new sensor.

BTW, I found a speed sensor delete for the sensors mounted to the transmissions.

Thanks, Mike
