Good Morning, just received new 23 Backdraft cobra prestige 427, Question for you guys, if i have a msd ign box where would it be located? Also what is the small black plastic box behind R/header on firewall? Newbe questions i know Thanks!!

What did your Backdraft Dealer or installer tell you when you asked them the same questions?

It's going to totally vary by where your individual engine installer put it. Could be on the firewall or anywhere else in the engine bay or, like mine, tucked up under the dash in the cockpit.

If it's not in the engine compartment look under the dash near the passenger foot box. Behind the glove box if you have one.

I don't know on the 427 Prestige engine, however, our 2021 BDR with Coyote Gen 3 engine does not have an MSD box.

It’s a big red box in a little car. If it’s there, you’ll be able to find it.

I put. a msd digital 6AL in the engine compartment compared to this little dinky thing I had under the passenger side dash. The msd digital 6AL made better power. Changed the ignition coil at the same time.

Look on the right side foot box behind the carpet you will also find a head light /blinker relay there. the box is for your power disconnect.
