Brake noise
I have a little over 800 miles on my Backdraft Cobra and have started hearing a chirping noise when I first push the brakes. It's faint but I think it's coming from the rear. Usually when I let off of the brakes and re-apply I don't hear it. Any one else experience this? Thanks for any help

I have a friend who has a Backdraft — same problem!
Turns out a sparrow built a nest in the chassis under the glass and gets pissed off every time Bob starts the car to drive it. Once the car moves, the sparrow throws a fit and starts to chirp. As soon as the car is shut down, silence returns.

Or it's the "crickets" built in to the pads of most civilian vehicles that chirp when the pads are worn down. Are you sure the pads are OK?

Probably some vibration of caliper parts that causes the noise. Pull the wheel(s) and at the very least lube up the caliper pins and anything else that looks like it may be metal to metal contact.
Shouldnt need to fully remove the caliper or need to rebleed brakes.

If you’re in a damp climate, you might have a little rust on the rotor that disappears after the first brake application. Then reappears when the car sits.

On mine it was the clamps which hold the pads in place. There is a way too small gap between the clamp and the rotors.
