Fuel Tank Problems

I recently purchased #81 and having a little trouble with adding fuel to the tank. It seems to fill up quickly, then goes down after awhile. All I seem to get into the tank is about 5 gal before this happens. Anyone else having this problem?

I don't know anything about BDR's but if it has a fuel cell check to make sure the checkball in the vent is working properly. Sounds like it might be stuck closed.

Shorten your vent hose about 9.5 inches. Mine did the same thing until i shortened the hose. The vent hose fills with fuel and acts like a trap.

Thanks CSCWHER,
I have the same problem with mine. I have an older model that I believe has the tank vent at a different location. I will shorten it and see if that helps.
