Fuel Line
What have you guys done as far as taking the fuel line that BDR grings to the egine compartment to the carb? 6an, 8an, regulator, gauge, filter, etc...
Has anyone felt a real need for a choke? |
I have the Ford Motorsport 392 w/Holly Street Avenger. It has an electric choke but without a high idle cam. Works ok but typically a little rich till warm. Had to turn the choke adj way to the right.
Ran 6an braided line from end of tube to engine mounted fuel pump. Then 3/8 stainless tube to firewall. Then short braided line to a fuel rail from Summit that has an integrel filter. Left the filters in the carb for protection. Fuel pump is self-regulated. Looks great/runs fine. |
With a 750 Demon on there and those AFRs I would use 8AN (minimum) hooked to a regulator of some sorts.
What pump are you using? |
I am tinking of buying a Mallory 110 gph but the max pressure is 7psi. I agree with the 8an lines but not real sure about plumbing the carb itself. I was looking at a BG setup for the carb that had a port for a pressure gauge. Summit has a decent billet pressure regulator and I was thinking one of Earls filters. I guess I also need some plugs for the linkage side of the carb at the bowls. Any better ideas...am I missing anything?
