BDR Production Number Help
Trying to identify the production "number" of my BDR.
The vin numbers all start with "AA9BMAAH" followed by 17 digits. Mine are V##CN#### (# represents numbers). Which of the numbers specify the production number? Thanks, John PS: Sunny and 70 today in Columbus,Ohio........I must just go out and play today....... |
Is there a plate on the driver's side wheel well or firewall that says "build number 00xxx"?

No, I do have a "BODY NUMBER" with 11 digits. Nothing that looks like a production number. I'm pretty sure that this is a earlier production car.

I too have the same question. No plate - nothing but a vin. I know I have an early BDR and if you told me it was #002 I wouldn't be surprised. I emailed Reg my vin a while back to find out but he never replied. Chuck |
Look at the certificate of origin that comes with every car.
Lower left hand corner in a small box. |
tony could tell you as well, if your MSO is not handy.

I'm in the same boat as you (2nd owner, no certificate of origin). I'll see if I can get a hold of Reg today. I had an un answered email also. It won't change how I live, but it would be neat to know which production number we have. John |
My feeling exactly. I've met several other BDR owners at shows and I'm always asked and I always say "I dunno".

JUST LOOK UNDER YOUR RAD. HEADER TANK. U WILL FIND THE VIN NO. STAMPED ON THE CHASSIS. SEND IT TO ME(THE FULL NO.) OR JUST ADD IT TO THE THREAD AND I WILL GIVE U THE BDR BUILD NO.(NITE TIME OVER HERE NOW SO IT WILL BE TO MORROW FOR U) THE REASON THAT REG HAS NOT REPLIED TO YOUR E MAIL IS THAT HE IS OVER AT THE FACTORY IN SA. I spoke with Backdraft earlier and they looked up my number in their build log. It was not in my VIN or Body ID. Turns out mine is number 20. Enjoying my spice!!! Thanks, John |
