BackDraft Differential
In a thread started by, I believe, TonyD we were discussing swapping out the BDR differential. Someone chimed in and said that someone in their shop knows a lot about it (possibly Mark?). I was going to call and discuss but because we're on the old server the thread isn't available and I don't remember who to call.
Anyone remember who it was? I'm looking at something around a 3.64:1 limited slip. Tony, I think, was originally talking around a 3.90??? Any info is appreciated..thanks! |
saps,
Go to bimmerdiy.com, it has a good write up for replacing a differential in E36 BMW. |
Thanks, Speedysnake.
I do have that linked bookmarked. I was more looking for a source of the differentials. I thought one of the dealers and posted saying they have them... |
Saps,
I beleive Jay at Vintage Motorsports said you should call their shop and ask for Brian. You can get their number off their web site. http://www.vintage-motorsports.com/ Jay I hope I remembered that correctly  Mike |
Call Reg too, I believe he has differentials available
|
SAPS,
Check http://www.diffsonline.com/. They will sell you a completely rebuilt differential with the gear ratio of your choice and ship it to your house. You can also send in your old differential for a core charge refund of 400.00 for an open diff or 600.00 for LSD. Hope this helps. |
