Backdraft in a Short Film / Commercial

Pretty cool to see one in "action": http://www.cccmovie.com/

That's cool. Thanks for posting it.

If you like this video, you'll probably like the VOD Cars Podcast from Itunes.

nice video, but this is exactly what a classic car club should not be advertising.
When I go fast I hardly have time looking at my copilot, and forget drinking champagne in the meanwhile. I might as well have a gorilla sitting next to me, I would not notice.
If you want to deal with the nice chick next to you you probably would play some other type of music and cruise slowly somewhere in the countryside. And look out for a place to stop to take care of other bussiness.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with Eljaro.

This video is what my local small-town cops see when UT runs the little blue car through town just to get fuel. (I try to stay outside the city limits, the State Highway Patrolmen love my car, local PD- NOT.)

My last bust was when a local PD rode my bumper for over a mile and pulled me over when I gave him the "you are #1" sign with the wrong finger on my left hand. I was out with my 15-year-old granddaughter, for Pete's sake.

Try a written warning for using "an obscene gesture towards a peace officer," and a citation- which stuck- for "driving in a manner not reasonable and proper."

I had my right hand on the shifter, left hand in the air "waving," the vehicle was not being steered for about 3 seconds.

Busted.

BTW, I looked closely several times, I did not see a Backdraft decal on the Cobra's windscreen in the video.

Yeah, I'm a little bitter. Born that way.

You must live in Durant, where the local salutation is "Yahoooo" and the cattle are prettier than the local women.

It's there, I sold them the car.

ROUSHAC 04-08-2006 07:13 PM

Jay,

I looked all over the Vintage and Backdraft sites, but cannot find the pages for the "good looking young girls option".

I guess it must be an owner supplied option, huh?

Cheers!
Dave

Cashburn 04-08-2006 07:41 PM

Uncle Todd can explain that option. You need to take delivery first.

uncltodd 04-08-2006 08:37 PM

Roushac- Some things in life are simple.

Drive by a local college campus, Day One. Warm them up.

Day two, drive by a local college on any Thursday afternoon, college night at all local watering holes.

Blip the throttle.

You still riding alone?

Sorry, Mods

Is this video safe for work? I just clicked on the link and saw the "Warning".

Do I need to go confess to the IT guys?

Cashburn 04-15-2006 07:25 AM

The warning is to add a little hype to it. Nothing truly obscene.

SkipB 04-15-2006 02:59 PM

Humm. Except for the rain, it looks just like another boring Tuesday night in Southern California. The weekends are better.
