REAR shock part no.
Anybody know the rear shock part no. (Gabriel)
Thanks in advance Dennis |
The numbers from mine (#128) were:
Adjustomatic 45419 P150803 Three positions: Normal, Firm and Sport Good Luck, AL |
Nor Cal Al
Where did you find the three different positions and how do you adjust them? Don't see that on mine and I have the same "adjustomatics" |
The three positions were stamped into the upper half of the shock and I believe there was an index on the lower half. I do not know how the adjustment was made. I never changed mine from normal because the ride was already too stiff. I believe there is something about rotating the upper part while holding the lower part, I don't know if it's one full turn or just move to the next index mark. A Gabrial dealer should be able to help you.
I would like to find some air springs for mine. It is a very rough ride on bumpy roads. AL |
True007,
I have the same rear Gabriel Shocks on mine. I have adjusted mine a few times. The last time was just before going to WSCB 06 for track day. I set them to sport. Remove the rear shock from the frame and compress the shock all the way. Turn the shock body from (1)normal to (2)firm or (3)sport. The loudest click will always be the normal position. You will notice that this sequence of 3 can be done about 3 times before coming back around to the reference markings. Hope this helps, |
