Excessive Torque on Clutch Slave
Jay,
I think I have a solution...I need to measure now, form the U-Joint to the Heim joint, then weld the slave to the new U-Joint. I will try to get something mocked up within the next week or so...been really busy and the weather has decided to turn cold...will be hitting 32 tonight! http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...h_Solution.jpg Any thoughts? |
It has gotten cold here as well (we could not enjoy this weather forever). Looks really good. Do you need a source for any of the parts? We are on the road today... I will check in some.

Can't the end going to the fork be a long piece of threaded rod. The heim joint at the other end will allow movement up and down and side to side. The longer the threaded rod, the less movement you'll have at the heim end. We mounted the heim end to the frame, and even with the movement from the engine rocking when torqued, there is minimal movement at the heim end due to the overall length of the slave/rod assembly.
