Cup holder

Did a search but didn't see any ideas for a non-permanent cup holder - I need that jolt on the way to work in the morning! Attached file shows a floor mat mount cup holder I saw on the BMW Mini site - seems like it would work. Any other solutions that have worked for you?

Check out this site for some good and some amusing options: http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/competitors.html I especially like the roll of duct tape and the sneaker. I just went down to Pep Boys and looked around until I found one that would fit between the seats against the rear wall. Put Velcro on the bottom and the back. Sticks great to the carpet, but comes off easily by lifting up on the front when you don't want it. Stores in the trunk when not in use. Maybe, cut the toe off and velcro the heel portion just in front of the seat, hmmmmm. Perhaps a 'period correct' driving shoe would be more acceptable. Lets see, Richard Petty wore cowboy boots back in the day, so he's out. Wonder what Miles wore, hmmmmm. :LOL: |

Cup Holder!?!?
I put two Venti Mochas, and a kids hot chocolate in an environmentally friendly recycled cardboard Stabuck's cup holder and handed it to my 10 year old who was firmly strapped via 5 point harness to the passenger seat. This being our first try at Cobra Coffee Transport, I had covered said 10 year old in a large bath towel. I had him hold the tray just above his lap for extra shock protection. We arrived home, less than a mile away, with about 10 percent spillage. I find this an unacceptably high loss, and from here on out I will drink where I buy, or drive the mini van, or maybe change to softer springs......My guess is that a cup holder that is actually attached to the car would have suffered much higher losses. -Jon |

The Excalibur, and same for the Classic Roadsters, being a little wider than the originals made it nice to put your coffee\coke between the drivers seat edge and the trans tunnel. An almost perfect fit that worked well as a cup holder. I miss that... :D
