Finally got one!
 

I was lucky enough to purchase BDR 212 and it's awesome! Has a 392 stroker with a T5 and I can't wait for the tags. Since water boils at 212 degrees, I might tag it BOILNPT. Thanks to everyone who post's on this great club. I've been able to learn a lot in the last year when I discovered CC. I actually feel like I belong now. :MECOOL: Can't wait to start crusin'. **)

Prince Frederick, huh? I was born there "back in the day" when all there was in Calvert County was tobacco farms and crabbers. The only stoplight in the county was a flashing yellow at North Beach. We moved when I was 12, so we missed all of the build up after the power plant went in and it became another bedroom community for D.C. commuters.

Congratulations on the BDR - hope Jay and the folks at Vintage will have mine done within the next few weeks!

Thanks guys, I love this thing! :3DSMILE: Got my tags Thurs. Chilly driving but who cares. Logged 50 miles this morning and didn't really go anywhere. Trying to figure out why gas milage is so poor. :confused: I guess I need to shift out of 3rd every once in a while. ;)

Really easy go to your gallery click on the pic you want to blow it up to large format, copy the URL in the dialog line below the pic, go back to where you want to insert the pic, click on the insert image nit (second from the right), paste the URL into the pop up dialog box and Voila....there is a picture of your Cobra inserted into your message.

Really like the bling on the wheels.

You mentioned 3rd gear, Brudda... Gunrack's engine was built for 1/4 mile and a 3.72 rear end. With a change to a bigger carb after the car was delivered with a 3.23 rear end, (nobody's fault) and even with the super-lopy cam, she LOVES 3rd gear.

I have pulled out into 55MPH traffic, on an uphill slope, in third, accidentally, but the engine was torquey enough to haul my worthless a$$ up to speed in just a few seconds, enough to avoid being eaten from the rear by a semi doing 70 MPH in a 55MPH zone. (common here. I HATE semis!)

Third gear rules.

Bad for gas mileage, great for control in traffic. Gunrack justs starts to get aggressive at about 2K RPM with her cam, very responsive from 2.5K to 5K.

In these little cars, which are almost invisible, the throttle is as important as the brakes, IMHO. Many times I have nailed it to get in front of a semi changing lanes to avoid being semi-squashed or a$$-ended by an SUV behind me that didn't see me! That's why I NEVER drive at night!!

Third gear will pull cleanly and happily through the legal speed limit too quickly, she loves the cam.

Like in, "inhale, exhale."

I don't use 4th gear much, mostly in twitchy highway situations.

Fifth gear is definitely overdrive in Gunrack, 2100 RPM @ 70 MPH according to my cop friends' radars. (She reads 6 low at that speed) Same RPM as my Expedition???

About the semi's...if you got it, it came on a truck....think about it awhile.

Even during the day I usually run headlights in anything I drive. I drive a dumptruck a couple times a week and it can be hard to see a small car next to you.
I've noticed when I'm in the Cobra, people are looking more at me than driving the road. That's when I use hp to move out their way when they drift over.:MECOOL:
